Meet Ed – Our New Business Consultancy Manager
This May, we’re excited to welcome Ed to the QUBE team! He’s stepping into the role of Manager Business Consultancy, and we thought it was the perfect time to get to know him a bit better.
Hi Ed, welcome to QUBE! Great to have you with us. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m 50 years old, married, and a proud dad to a 16-year-old daughter and a 14-year-old son. We live in Naaldwijk, right in the heart of the beautiful Westland region. In my previous role, I led a consultancy team of 12 colleagues, focusing mainly on creating the right conditions for them to do their best work.
What’s important to me? Trust. In our field, clients need to truly trust their IT partner. That means listening carefully, being present, and translating business needs into real solutions. That’s how you improve processes and support people at the same time. At QUBE, I’ll be taking on the role of Manager Business Consultancy and will also be hands-on as an Exact Consultant.
How did you get into IT?
Pure curiosity. During my Business Administration studies, I became fascinated by process optimization and the challenges it brings. My career kicked off at Exact Software in Delft – back when DOS was still the standard! Since then, I’ve worked with every generation of Exact. Today’s Globe+ and Synergy platforms offer powerful ERP capabilities that support businesses from end to end.
Why QUBE?
After a long stretch at my previous company, I got in touch with Albert, and from our first conversation, I had a good feeling. Talking to other colleagues only confirmed that: QUBE is a place that truly fits me. What stood out most was the personal atmosphere – it feels like a tight-knit team that understands that IT is ultimately about people.
Here, I can do what I love most: help organizations work smarter and more efficiently. The culture and focus on quality are a perfect match for my way of working.
Your role combines management and consultancy – what can we expect from you?
My top priority is to help clients move forward. By giving them insight into how their operations and Exact Software can strengthen each other, we turn IT into a practical, efficient tool. I’ll also be working on various Exact projects and making sure our clients are truly happy with the outcomes.
And outside of work? What brings you joy?
Sport plays a big role in my life. I love going on long rides with my cycling buddies, and I also enjoy running and walking the dog. But I especially love watching my kids play sports. My daughter plays hockey, my son plays football, and I often coach his team as well. For me, sport is all about connection, energy, and fun.
