Teams Tip - Sharing Power BI reports in Teams made easier
It has become increasingly easier to share your Power BI reports with your colleagues when working with Teams.
With the new “Share in Teams” button, sharing a Power BI report is literally one click.
When sharing a report you can indicate with which user or channel you would like to share the report. The report is then automatically placed in the chat.
You can also copy individual charts from a Power BI report (using the copy option on a chart).
When you place the chart in a Teams chat, a preview of the chart is shown, along with the ability for users to perform actions on that chart.
Attention! In some cases users get the message that the content is not available.
Users without Power BI license or without permission to the report will see this message. When you share a report in Teams, users are not automatically authorized to view it. You must give permission to this in Power BI.
